Financial Tools

Free financial calculators designed to help Nigerians understand loans, savings, investments, debt and everyday money decisions.

Loan Calculator

Estimate your loan repayment using either the reducing-balance method most banks use, or the flat-rate method common with some Nigerian lenders.

Calculation method

Reducing Balance (Amortized): Interest is charged only on the outstanding balance, which shrinks with each payment. This is the standard method used by most banks and regulated lenders.

Flat Rate: Interest is calculated on the full original loan amount for the entire term, even as you pay down the balance. This is common with some microfinance and quick-loan lenders in Nigeria, and results in a higher effective interest rate than the stated rate suggests.

This calculator produces an estimate, not an actual lender quote. Actual repayments depend on the specific lender's terms, fees and interest calculation method.
